Johannes Solvang is back with a new work for OJKOS. Johannes Fosse Solvang is a trombonist and composer from Klepp, educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music, the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and Jazzlinja in Stavanger. He has released several albums with the bands Doomsday Preppers and BenReddik as well as the commissioned work "Miniatyrland" written for OJKOS in 2019 together with Camilla Hole. "Miniatyrland" lived on as a studio album and was released in 2021 on Taragot Sounds. In JazzNytt, Arild Andersen described the music as follows: "Lively and outgoing, so skilfully inviting that I was hooked immediately. The instruments are given room to shine, even though the music is powerful and dense." Now Johannes is back with new music where playfulness and creativity are important keywords. Be prepared for an OJKOS bursting with sound and bursting with colour!
