Flautist and composer Johanna Orellana has already received international attention for her expressive and atmospheric improvisations. Over the last years she has worked closely with Carmen Villain and made several musical collaborations with Anja Lauvdal, among others. With her debut album Las Camelias,Tres Esquinas, released on Smalltown Supersound, Orellana has officially stepped into the role as a solo artist. Her cosmic wanderings puts her into a tradition somewhere between Maggi Payne and Don Cherry, and in a domestic context somewhere between Arve Henriksen and Bendik Giske.
