209 - Damata

Damata is a Norwegian trio made up of Torstein Slåen, Karl Erik Horndalsveen and Ola Øverby who’s music spans the loose territories of ambient electronic, improvisation, hip hop and modern jazz. In the midst of recording their third album - having released their previous two on the Norway’s own seminal Dugnad Records - they scurry through a sea of influences including Alice Coltrane, Flying Lotus, Alabaster Deplume, Frank Ocean as well as their own music and much more.
